Isolation

This term, we will be listening and responding to different movements from ‘The Planets Suite’ by Gustav Holst.  In Week 3, we will focus on the ‘Mars’ movement. 

Here are 3 documents for you to use this week:-

1) Music Task Sheet (Week 3).

Using the link to Spellingframe at the bottom of these instructions, locate the 'Year 5 and 6' words option.

This week's spellings are Spelling Rule 37. -cious and -tious word endings.

Click on 'view words' to see the words, then select the word 'Play' in the top right corner.

This week you will be learning your colours.

Open the PowerPoint to find a link to a song that introduces the colours and recaps the numbers 1-10 at the same time. The rest of the PowerPoint shows you the names of each colour.

Design and make your own alien with a 3 week Topic based project!  

Venus is commonly called Earth's evil twin.  Read through the information about Venus, watch the video or research your own online, and then design a vehicle which will be able to keep you safe on Venus.  Try to also show off your Literacy skills when annotating your design!

Let’s get creative using Google Drawing or Powerpoint to create Vector Drawings! 

Today's maths work is further practice of multiplying by 10.

Please make sure you do not just write the answers on the sheet - you must show clear workings out for each calculation so we know you have understood the method.

If you need to use a multiplication square to help you, that is fine.

Please mark your own work before uploading your photos so we can see how well you have done!

Today's task is a bit of multiplication by a multiple of 10 practice.  You can work onto the sheet or set out your work neatly on a piece of paper (squared if you have it).
