Today's task - varied fluency questions.
Choose your challenge and show me what you can do!

Try to solve this problem solving challenge. Use the four operations to see if you can use each of the digits 1 - 9 in a calculation that equals 100.
You can only use each digits once but you can choose the order they are used.
Good luck and have fun!
For today's fun challenge we are taking a journey into Space to find Zods and Zids. We will be revising our mental strategies to multiply 1 and 2 digit numbers as well as identifying key words in number problems to decide on the strategies we need to use to solve them.
Use the slides to scaffold your own strategies if you need to before moving onto the independent word problem involving more Zids and Zods.
How many solutions will you find? What strategy did you find most useful? Have fun.

Here is today's multiplication task: apply your knowledge to solve these reasoning and problem solving questions.
Remember to answer reasoning questions with a sentence which explains what you think is wrong/right about the example given. If it's incorrect, prove what the correct answer should be.
Choose your level and upload a photo to the website when you are done.
Continue to practise multiplying TO x TO and HTO x TO with the calculations on the attached sheets. Work for about 20 minutes on them and check regularly that you have the correct answers - the answers are on the later sheets in the file. Think about where you want to start and, as you would in class, if you want to, start at the Starting Place to do 1 or 2 then move on to Feeling Happy when you are more confident if you want. If you are finding it tricky then drop in to talk to me at 2pm. Use the tables square to help you if it would be useful.
Today's task is multiplying 3 digit by 2 digit numbers.
When choosing your level of challenge, please have a go at the expected (Q4 - 6) or the greater depth (Q7 - 9), as these involve the method being taught.
If you are having difficulty then you may try the developing (fully expanded approach Q1 - 3).
Remember to upload a photo of your work.
Good luck!
Continue to practise multiplying TO x TO and HTO x TO with the calculations on the attached sheets. Work for about 20 minutes on them and check regularly that you have the correct answers - the answers are on the second sheet in the file. Think about where you want to start and, as you would in class, if you want to, start at the Starting Place to do 1 or 2 then move on to Feeling Happy when you are more confident if you want. If you are finding it tricky then drop in to talk to me at 2pm.
Continue to practise multiplying by TO x TO, choosing the level you feel confident with.
Some of you will have moved on to multiplying HTO x TO - you can complete the 'Hot Stuff' section.
Make sure you set your work out clearly, keeping the digits in the correct columns -especially as you will be generating some big numbers!
The answers are attached so you can mark your own work before uploading it.
If you need it, there is the video demonstrating the method in the links section.
Today's challenge: a final bit of 2 x 2 digit multiplication.
Choose your level, get it done then relax and enjoy your weekend!
(There is an extension task for those who want a bit more)
Continue to practise multiplying TO x TO with the calculations on the attached sheet.
Select the section you feel most comfortable with to have a go at. Make sure you complete all your workings carefully, keeping the digits in the correct columns!
The answers are included and remember, there is also a video of the method in the links section if you need to watch it again to help you.
