Today's questions are all things square!
Take a look at both sheets - fluency and reasoning/problem solving.
Complete the cube and square numbers chart then use the answers to this to colour in the picture on the second sheet (if you don't have a printer then just complete the Cube and Square Numbers chart in your maths book). If you need a refresher on what cube numbers are, this video may help: https://corbettmathsprimary.com/2018/07/15/cube-numbers-video/
Today's maths task is fluency, reasoning and problem solving using prime numbers.
Choose your level and have a go at questions from both sheets.
Practice creating and identifying square numbers. Have a look at the video below to help you if you need to. https://corbettmathsprimary.com/2018/07/17/square-numbers-video/
Today's home learning reinforces what we have learnt this week about factors, common factors and highest common factors.
Work methodically and find ALL the factor pairs for a number before you answer a question! Set them out clearly like you have been shown.
There are three levels to choose from and the answers are included at the end of each sheet.
Choose from 'Starting Point', 'Feeling Happy' or 'Hot Stuff'.
If you get stuck, here is the video guide. You can also pop along to the Zoom drop-in between 2 and 2:30pm.
Friday's maths task: Common factors.
Choose your level of challenge and, like yesterday, have a go at some of the varied fluency (VF) questions and some reasoning and problem solving (RPS).
For today's home learning task, find all the factor pairs for each number on the sheet. Remember to work methodically so you don't miss out any pairs!
There is an extra 'hot stuff' challenge if you would like to solve a puzzle involving factors too.
Answers are included!
In the link below is a video all about finding factors if you need it.
Today I'd like you to answer some fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions so you will need to print/download both of the worksheets.
Choose your level of challenge and have a go at the relevant questions (dev/exp/gds) for both PDFs.
