Today's task is to write a diary entry from August's point of view about the key events that happen in the two chapters we read in the session today. (I won't give away any spoilers on here!)
In the link below are the two chapters you will need (chapters 13 and 14) as well as the slides from the session with the instructions, the key features to include in a diary entry and some fantastic examples of diaries written by some Year 5s last year.
We are looking for top quality diary entries that show an understanding of how August might be feeling as he writes about the events of the day. You can refer back to the text for ideas. Don't forget to show off your brilliant writing skills and impressive language choices as well as your accurate punctuation.
