Literacy - Roman Army Recruit Activity Wednesday 25 November

Subject area
Writing

Over the last week, we've learned a lot about what it would be like to be in the Roman Army.  Can you use what you've learned, together with the additional information outlined below, to create an advert to join the Roman army?

Although you're at home, and we appreciate this makes it more tricky, we're still looking for you to continue to develop your language skills.  Your writing is really improving so show us (and whoever is with you at home) all the things you've learned including using adverbials (fronted or not!), relative clauses, interesting vocabulary, technical vocabulary, a range of sentence openers, different conjunctions, the same tense throughout, brackets, commas and - dare I mention them - full stops and capital letters!  I've tried to include some of these in the example I've created.

Feel free to add a picture to your advert (I drew mine on the computer ...!) and you may produce it either by writing on paper or using the computer.
