Isolation Activities This Week

Week 5 Science - Forces

This week in Science you will have a 'cracking' time with this 'eggciting' experiment looking at gravity and air resistance: The Egg drop.

Follow the link for instructions of how to test the effects of gravity and air resistance on a falling egg.  Will an air balloon or a parachute be able to protect your egg from the impact?

Remember to post a photo of your eggsperiment!

Week 5: Topic - Earth: The Moon Landing

On 20 July 1969, the first man stepped onto the moon.  Find out about the story of the moon landing in the information below and by watching the videos then create a comic strip retelling those events of 51 years ago.    https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/48789792           https://kids.nationalgeographic.com/explore/history/moon-landing/  (Scroll dow

Week 4 - Wednesday Big Maths with Mrs Drummond-Davies

For today's fun challenge we are taking a journey into Space to find Zods and Zids.  We will be revising our mental strategies to multiply 1 and 2 digit numbers as well as identifying key words in number problems to decide on the strategies we need to use to solve them.

Use the slides to scaffold your own strategies if you need to before moving onto the independent word problem involving more Zids and Zods.

How many solutions will you find? What strategy did you find most useful? Have fun.
