Isolation Activities This Week

Wednesday 5M Big Maths investigation

Today's Big Maths is a fun and colourful challenge to explore multiples and digital roots of numbers.

Find the digital roots of each of the times tables 1 - 12 and join the dots in the circles, in order, (one circle for each times table).  Instructions for how to find the digital root are included along with a template of the circles.

If you are unable to print the template, find something circular and draw around it, placing the dots as accurately as you can.

Week 5: Wednesday Big Maths with Mrs Drummond-Davies (Ferrier/Davis)

This week we are exploring patterns in multiples and factors.  This will be great revision of your times tables as well as an opportunity to practice our trial and improvement method from last weeks Zids and Zods investigation.

Keep the rules in front of you and remember our examples of factors and multiples.  Print out a few copies of the 100 square to colour. You will also need red, blue, purple and yellow coloured pencils.

The record is 67 (held by Oliver at Bradworthy Primary Academy, Devon). Can you beat it?  Have fun!
